Screenings

Becoming a midyear member means you’re in for the remainder of the year, from July through to our final screening in November.

Dubbo Film Society curates a diverse and engaging program designed for people who love films that offer something a little different.

Midyear membership of Dubbo Film Society is $55.

Benefits for fully paid financial midyear members include:

  • Great value viewing - enjoy 8 carefully curated films (July through to November)

  • Shared cinema experience - watch films in person alongside fellow cinephiles, with a chance to chat and share ideas before and after screenings

  • Flexible sharing - can’t make a screening? Your membership card can be loaned to a friend or family member to attend in your place

  • Peace of mind - lost your membership card? It can be replaced

  • Have your say - full voting rights at the Film Society’s AGM

  • Help shape the program - members are encouraged to suggest thought-provoking and interesting films, for possible screening.

  • Join online via credit card at 123tix (booking fees apply).

  • Pay cash at the midyear, 1-Day Film Festival on Sunday 26 July.

Films are thoughtfully selected in the months leading up to each screening, and members are always kept in the loop.

Full film details are emailed to members and published on the website at least two to three weeks before each event, so you’ll know exactly what’s coming - and have something to look forward to.

Two films are screened at each event at the Dubbo RSL Club Theatrette, with the first film commencing at 1:30pm.

Members are welcome to bring a guest along. Guests can purchase a casual membership on the day for $30, which includes both films plus complimentary tea, coffee and light refreshments. Please note the casual membership covers the full program, so single-film pricing isn’t available.
